The Home-School Association (HSA) consists of family
members of students and other volunteers who want to help the school
flourish in its Mission. Similar to a PTA, the HSA assists the
administration and staff of Saint John Catholic School in a variety
of ways. The organization helps coordinate volunteerism, provide
valuable input and feedback that challenges us to grow, and assists
with
fundraising efforts that
provide some of the material things needed for our school. Every
family at SJCS is considered to be part of the HSA.

 HSA Meetings:
The next HSA Meeting is scheduled for October 28th at 6:30PM. WE NEED
VOLUNTEERS TO SERVE AS OFFICERS AND COMMITTEE CHAIRPERSONS FOR THE HSA - Please
consider volunteering for a position in 2008-2009. Some of the volunteer
positions we will need to fill include: Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary,
Heads of the committees (such as Communications/marketing, Room Parents,
Grandparents Day, Teachers appreciation week). We also need people who are
willing to help with all phases of the Annual Angel Fund. There will be more
opportunities the closer we get to the first day of school!
PARENTS / VOLUNTEERS: Please sign up for a
VIRTUS
training session if you have not had one. We will
need your certificate on file in the school office for you to participate in
school functions with the children.
Family Work Days:
The HSA has designated several work days for families to fulfill their
volunteer time (or just have fun helping out!!). The next work day is
September 13, 2008.
